my story
Hi, I’m Talia Colón — a passionate West Coast Swing dancer, competitor, judge, and teacher. I discovered my love for dance in Austin, Texas in 2019, and from the very beginning, I dove in headfirst. What started as a new hobby quickly became a lifelong passion!
In just a few short years, I’ve risen through the competitive ranks, now competing at the All-Star level both across the U.S. and internationally. I've had the privilege of teaching and judging at events both within the states and abroad, and love sharing my passion for West Coast Swing with dancers of all levels.
One of my proudest moments was last year when I received the Skippy Blair Award for my first Rising Star routine at the US Open Swing Dance Championships — a milestone that reflects the dedication, creativity, and joy I hope to bring to this dance.
In whatever capacity I’m on the floor, my mission is the same: to inspire, connect, and grow through this incredible art form!
